Questions & key information

Similar modules.
Different purposes.

Choose by the outcome you need. Some modules share content or work together, but each has a distinct role. These comparisons explain where one ends and another adds value.

Stories, Guide & LearnTell a story, support a visit or teach a skill?
Tell a story, support a visit or teach a skill?
ModuleMain purposeWhat distinguishes it
StoriesCommunicate a narrative or message.Organises selected stops into a deliberate sequence, with themes, media and branching choices.
GuideHelp someone explore and understand a place independently.Delivers interpretation at stops through audio, transcripts, captions, languages and playback controls.
LearnTeach something and track learning.Organises lessons and learning paths, with completion tracking and—depending on tier—quizzes, scores, assessed tasks and certificates.

How they work togetherA heritage trail can use Stories for the narrative, Guide for multilingual audio at each stop, and Learn for an educational activity with completion tracking.

Maps & GuideFind your way or understand what you discover?
Find your way or understand what you discover?
ModuleMain purposeWhat distinguishes it
MapsShow where things are and how to reach them.Focuses on plans, locations, routes and spatial orientation.
GuideSupport independent exploration.Adds interpretation and accessible listening or reading at the places along a route.

How they work togetherUse Maps to locate a gallery, then Guide to explain the objects inside it.

Stories, Timeline & VaultA narrative, a chronology or a collection?
A narrative, a chronology or a collection?
ModuleMain purposeWhat distinguishes it
StoriesShape a narrative journey.Connects selected content by theme or message; the sequence need not follow dates.
TimelineExplain change over time.Organises events, milestones or project phases chronologically.
VaultPreserve and organise a digital collection.Provides a governed library of documents, media, archived exhibitions or preservation records.

How they work togetherA restoration project can store its records in Vault, show its phases in Timeline and explain key decisions through Stories.

Media & Social MediaCreate the content or prepare it for a campaign?
Create the content or prepare it for a campaign?
ModuleMain purposeWhat distinguishes it
MediaProvide visual content for the experience.Covers photography, video and graphics used to present a place or explain a subject.
Social MediaPrepare promotional content for social channels.Uses approved media and experience content to produce campaign-ready social assets.

How they work togetherMedia can provide a venue film; Social Media can turn approved footage into short campaign edits. Publication and ongoing campaign management should be specified in the agreed scope.

Forms, DataHub & InsightCollect information, organise records or measure use?
Collect information, organise records or measure use?
ModuleMain purposeWhat distinguishes it
FormsCapture information from people.Provides enquiries, registrations, feedback, inspection inputs and checklists.
DataHubOrganise structured operational data.Manages records, relationships and status information, such as assets, locations and maintenance records.
InsightUnderstand how the experience is used.Focuses on engagement, journeys and performance reporting rather than the underlying operational register.

How they work togetherFor a configured inspection workflow, Forms can collect an observation, DataHub can organise the asset record, and Insight can help measure adoption of the experience. The connections are defined in the project scope.

Access & ProtectControl who can enter or document condition and risk?
Control who can enter or document condition and risk?
ModuleMain purposeWhat distinguishes it
AccessControl who can see or use content.Covers sign-in, gated content, user roles and permission-controlled areas.
ProtectDocument condition, inspections and risk.Links evidence and inspection or compliance records to places and assets. Its purpose is documentation, not account access control.

How they work togetherAccess can restrict a staff area; Protect can organise condition evidence within the agreed workflow. Protect supports documentation but does not itself guarantee regulatory compliance.

AR & BIMShow an overlay or work with a structured building model?
Show an overlay or work with a structured building model?
ModuleMain purposeWhat distinguishes it
ARAdd spatial overlays and reconstructions.Helps explain a design, a historic scene or an instruction in relation to a real or captured environment.
BIMConnect technical models and building information.Supports model coordination, asset information, digital handover and facilities workflows.

How they work togetherAR can illustrate a proposed change; BIM can support the technical model and associated asset information. A visual reconstruction is not automatically a BIM deliverable.

Commerce & ConnectOffer a transaction or connect another system?
Offer a transaction or connect another system?
ModuleMain purposeWhat distinguishes it
CommerceEnable transactional journeys.Focuses on bookings, tickets, donations, memberships, products and upgrades within the experience.
ConnectLink ImmerTwin to external systems.Covers integrations with booking tools, CRM, LMS and other platforms, whether or not money changes hands.

How they work togetherCommerce can define the booking journey; Connect can link it to an existing booking service. Integration requirements, provider availability and any external fees are confirmed for the project.

Do I need every related module?

No. Start with the outcome you need and the modules already included in your package. Combine modules when each has a useful role in the agreed workflow; a shared topic alone does not mean you need them all.

Does every tier include every feature?

No. These comparisons describe each module’s purpose, not a promise that every feature is included at every tier. Base, Plus, Premium and Bespoke define the depth of delivery. Your proposal confirms features, content, tracking, integrations and any ongoing service for each selected module.
